Delaware Today Magazine Turns 50
The magazine takes a commemorative look at the past 50 years in The First State.
Wilmington—Delaware Today magazine celebrates its 50th Anniversary in April. The commemorative issue highlights 50 of the most influential Delawareans of the past five decades.
One of the oldest city and regional magazines in the country, Delaware Today provides lifestyle coverage of New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties. Delaware Today’s mission has remained constant for 50 years: to provide the most current information about local lifestyle and leisure trends while taking an unflinching look at people and issues in The First State.
“Our title says it all,” says Delaware Today publisher Rob Martinelli. “There are always great stories to tell about great Delawareans.”
Editor-in-Chief Maria Hess concurs. “Delaware Today’s 50th Anniversary issue is not about the magazine; it’s about the people who read it,” says Hess. “We offer visually engaging historical features that document changes in our educational system and other events. We stroll a five-decade Memory Lane, taking stops at dining, politics, arts and fashion.”
